You keep wondering if you're the problem.
You're in your head all the time. Explaining things differently. Trying to reason. No matter how you say it or what you do, it never seems to be good enough.
You start wondering if you're the crazy one.
And you give another chance.
And another.
Because you believe in the good in people and you want to believe in the good in them.
It's death by a thousand paper cuts.
You stop trying to explain. You start questioning your own reality. The light gets dimmer. You are exhausted. You no longer recognize yourself. You don't know how to get back--or where to start.
You are not lost. You just lost the way.
You can find your way back. We will light the path.
Meet Your Provider
Hello all, I am a Texas native. I went to college at the University of Texas at Tyler and received my Master's of Science degree in Clinical Psychology, with a sub-specialization in neuropsychology. As a professional counselor, I like to create a holistic approach, combining my clinical skills of working with patients with an understanding of the connection between the brain, body, and spirit.
I completed my internship training and have vocational experience working in a dementia and aging clinic, in a residential childcare facility at, an inpatient psychiatric hospital, and in a clinic working with teens and adults with a variety of mental and behavioral health concerns. Since entering private practice, I have focused on anxiety disorders, narcissistic abuse recovery, and teaching ADHD skills and management.
My approach is always collaborative, so we will work together to find the style of therapy that best fits your personal needs. There is no one-size-fits-all in mental health! As a therapist, I enjoy exploring thinking patterns and how those patterns influence our behaviors. Learning what drives some of our behaviors is often the first step in changing them. I also value teaching ways to find more enjoyment, satisfaction, and peace in everyday living. People typically take better care of their physical needs than they do their psychological needs and I think that should change! If you are reading this, I suspect you believe that, too.
In my free time, I find joy in traveling the world, rescuing animals, practicing yoga and mindfulness, and hanging out with my own rescue dogs and cats. One day, I would love to own a farm and add more animals to my family.
